We (we are attached at the hips)??♀ currently attend a school that is purpose built.
Before I start to write, let me give you a background story. A few years ago, my cousin’s son fell from a three-story building. We thank God that nothing happened to him.??
In over ten schools, I noticed that most of the schools are over three floors high. In a particular school, the stairs are not in the building, which for me is a safety lapse.❌ I looked down and it was concrete.
I spoke with an admissions officer about my fears and she said the kids are told not to walk close to the bannisters ?(I saw one walking beside it a few minutes later)?. But, they have never had any fatalities. To me, that is being reactive. I don’t pray for fatalities but it is a good idea to prevent it.
I also believe kids will be kids, especially going down the stairs there will be times when they will rush and push each other (at least we used to do that especially when we are running late). I agree that they are to obey instructions, but at times they forget.
We say God forbid but we should also forbid it.
